Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of discord-webhook.com ("the Service"), operated by RootCore ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of the Service

Discord Webhook is a free, browser-based tool that allows users to compose and send messages to Discord channels via webhook URLs or bot tokens. The Service offers both unauthenticated webhook sending and authenticated features including scheduled messages, interactive components (buttons, select menus), and message editing. It is designed for personal and community use.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service in a lawful and responsible manner. You must not use the Service to:

• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk automated messages.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or individuals.
• Distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
• Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service or its infrastructure.
• Impersonate other individuals, organizations, or bots in a misleading way.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content of messages you send through the Service. This includes text, images, embeds, and any other data included in webhook or bot messages. We do not review, moderate, or filter messages sent using the tool. You must ensure that your use of webhook URLs is authorized by the respective Discord server administrators.

User Accounts

You may optionally create an account by logging in via Discord OAuth2 to access advanced features:

• You are responsible for the security of any bot tokens you provide to the Service.
• We encrypt bot tokens at rest, but you should not share them with unauthorized parties.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.

Scheduled Messages

• You are responsible for the content of scheduled messages, just as with immediately sent messages.
• We reserve the right to delete scheduled messages that violate our Acceptable Use policy.
• Scheduled messages are processed automatically; we do not review them before delivery.

Interactive Components

• You are responsible for configuring interactive components (buttons, select menus) and their associated actions appropriately.
• Role assignment actions require the bot to have proper permissions in the target Discord server.
• We are not responsible for misconfigured actions or unintended role assignments resulting from your configurations.

Discord Terms Compliance

The Service interacts with the Discord API. By using the Service, you agree to comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We are not responsible for any downtime, changes, or limitations imposed by the Discord API.

No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RootCore shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages resulting from messages sent through the tool, loss of data, or reliance on the Service.

Templates

Templates saved through the Service are stored publicly and without authentication. You are responsible for ensuring that templates you save do not contain sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information. We reserve the right to remove any template at our discretion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
